Padel Mix

What happens
to your details

Padel Mix exists so members of Virgin Active Chiswick Riverside can fill padel courts they've already booked. It isn't a business. Nobody is paid, nothing is sold, and there are no advertisers.

Who can have an account

Members aged 18 or over. Accounts share a name and a WhatsApp number with the other players in a court, which isn't something to set up for a child.

Under-18s are welcome on court. Whoever booked adds them by name, and nothing about them is stored beyond that name: no email address, no phone number, no account.

What it holds

Your first name, surname, email address and WhatsApp number. For each court, who booked it, when it is, and who has taken a spot. That's the lot.

When you forward a booking confirmation, the court, date and time are read out of it and the rest is discarded. Membership numbers are stripped before anything is stored.

Who sees it

Your name is shown to anyone who opens a court you've joined. Your WhatsApp number is shown only to the other players in that same court, so someone can reach you if plans change. You agree to this when you sign up, and it's the point of the app rather than a side effect.

Someone who has booked a court can also pick your name from a list of members when filling their spots, and you'll be emailed if they put you down. Only names appear in that list, never email addresses or numbers.

Adrian, who runs this, can see member accounts and bookings to sort out problems when someone asks for help. He can't sign in as anyone or act on their behalf.

Nothing is shared with anyone else. No third parties, no analytics companies, no marketing lists, no sale of data under any circumstances.

Where it lives

On servers run by Vercel and Neon in the UK and Ireland. Email is sent and received through Resend. Those companies process the data to keep the app running and do nothing else with it.

Emails you'll get

Sign-in links, a note when someone takes a spot on your court, and a reminder if a court you booked is short 24 hours before it starts. No newsletters.

Changing or deleting it

Ask and your account and everything attached to it will be deleted. You can also ask for a copy of what's held, or have anything wrong corrected.

Who to ask

Adrian Melrose, who built and runs this. Reply to any email the app sends you.
